This page describes cookies, pixels and other trackers used on the Fibre Lab and Co. Site (fibrelabandco.com; current hosting is stated in the legal notice), under Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act, the GDPR and CNIL guidance. Footer links “Pixel” and “Cookie policy” both point here.
1. What is a cookie? What is a pixel?
A cookie is a small file read or stored on your device when you visit the Site. The term also covers other trackers: tracking pixels, local storage, advertising IDs.
A pixel is a tracker (often loaded by a third-party script) used to measure a visit, a conversion or to show ads. On Fibre Lab and Co., no non-essential pixel is loaded before your choice in the banner.
2. Who sets cookies?
- First-party cookies: Fibre Lab and Co. / PrestaShop (cart, session, account, security, storage of your consent choice).
- Third-party cookies and pixels: partners (audience, advertising), only after consent if not strictly necessary, and only if an ID has actually been configured.
3. Categories
Strictly necessary (no consent)
Cart, session, authentication, Systempay payment, security, storage of your cookie choice. They cannot be refused without breaking the Site.
Audience measurement (consent)
Understand traffic to improve the Site. Off by default. No audience tool loads until an ID is provided.
Marketing / pixels (consent)
Advertising, retargeting, pixels where applicable. Off by default. No Facebook or other marketing pixel is installed until an ID is provided.
No non-essential cookie or pixel is set before your choice. Continued browsing, scrolling or closing the window does not equal consent. No pre-ticked boxes.
4. Main services
- Fibre Lab and Co. banner — proof and storage of your choices (necessary). Indicative duration: up to 6–12 months; CNIL recommends asking again after about 6 months.
- PrestaShop — cart, session, account (necessary).
- OVH — hosting / technical (necessary).
- Systempay / Banque Populaire — secure payment (necessary for payment).
- Audience tools / pixels — only after consent, and only if an ID is configured. Indicative max duration: 13 months.
No consent-based cookie should live longer than 13 months.
5. Your choice
On first visit, a banner notably offers:
- Continue without accepting — refuses non-essentials, as easy as accepting (CNIL).
- OK — accepts the proposed categories (today: only what is actually configured; no marketing pixel loads without an ID).
You can change or withdraw consent at any time via Cookie settings in the footer: this control reopens the banner.
Refusing optional cookies and pixels does not prevent ordering an analysis or receiving the PDF report.
6. Browser
You may also block cookies in Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge. Blocking necessary cookies may break the cart.
